Dear everyone,
Not much has happened. life goes on in endless song, spring break is in four weeks and I'm comin home! I'm excited. unfortunately that means there are finals in three weeks... I have my vocal final next Saturday and I'm really nervous, I'm singing Scarborough fair, its really pretty but when ever I get scared I get really quiet and forget the words so it never sounds pretty coming from me.
Im doing well in most of my classes, by far my favorite is the horsemanship class, we have moved on from bareback to trotting and posting we might get to jumps before the class ends. I have an awesome horse, his name is speck he is red and we totally match, he is older and very stubborn so its a battle of dominance everyday but Im learning how to win, cause of course I am very stubborn too. Its an awesome class.
I have a job for next semester, and part of this one! I work for my head resident so I help with cleaning checks and check-ins and outs. so that does cut my spring break short but Im so grateful to have a job. Its not very many hours so I will need to get another part time job, I should be able to manage, I am only taking 14 credits next semester so it should be fine.
My classes for next semester are: Beginning Soccer (at 7:45 AM :( ) Body Weight Management (I'm totally going to place in the family competition), Basic Writing, Book of Mormon (122 so part 2), Science Foundations (a GE), Interpersonal Theory and Practice (this class should help me be more confident and out going, or at least that's what the description says) A Clogging Class! Im super excited for that one, Im taking it with a couple friends and I have always wanted to learn clogging. I am also taking Private Piano Lessons. And I will work very hard on it because its for a grade now.
Marin sent me a loverly st patty's day package and I was the second best dressed person on campus. I would have beat but I saw this guy in a full leprechaun suit complete with cane and top hat. its was pretty awesome.

Hello,
its mid terms. Im getting A's and B's
so is Cassidy.
I start three new classes this week. Career exploration. Math foundations every single day. and Horse riding basics. Im excited. life is getting alot busier now. I was not able to sell my body fluids this week but I will try this thursday. maybe tuesday. Cassidy did it and she got 25 her first time if I donate twice a week I hear I will get 50 so I really hope it works out. however Cassidy and I are going to apply to taco bell because they are hiring and we need jobs! yay! this place called flap jacks shack is opening up and we will try there too.

Torn tights
Dear friends and fam,
So starting as of right now, I am sitting here typing this out wearing a really frilly skirt, almost like a tutu, with torn up nylons underneath. I got to church before noticing I had a huge run down my leg. So naturally I borrowed Cassidy's keys and tore up my stockings. They look pretty cool actually, and alot cheaper then Lohans $40 torn tights. score!
Last night I went and watched the proposal at Luren's apartment (she is this hilarious girl) after I had to climb through my kitchen window because my roommates went to IF (Idaho Falls - its like the "cool" place to go) and locked the door without telling me. About thirty seconds after I got through the window and was back outside putting the screen back in, this really cute guy came out of someone's apartment and started dancing on the balcony. He invited me to join the party. So I went and joined a spontaneous dance party. It was kind of boring there were 3 girls to every guy, but still more fun then what my roommates did! They went down to IF and werent allowed into the movie because Helena forgot her ID and she looks like a ten year old girl with her real hair (she usually wears weave) plus she is about 4'10. So on their way back the car broke down. Ba ha they came home pretty early.
Friday night we got false info about a dance party and went in search of it. After about an hour of driving around looking for something to do, we found one at summerset lounge. They had a epilepsy-causing strobe light and two balloons. I really liked it but no one else did. So we left and went to cody's house and watched I am legend.
About three or four hours ago Cassidy made ourselves sick by eating 3 bags of candy each. Im going to go off sugar this week so we decided to binge. very stupid idea, Cassidy threw up and I took a nap and woke up with a major headache. yuck, but Im back to eating a twix bar.
Im doing pretty well in school. or so I think, I took my first test in the testing center on saturday. It wasnt too bad but we will see what my score is. I love my vocal class, the teacher is CRAZY! but hilarious. I also really like my american foundations class, I went to Cassidy;s class and it made me SO grateful for mine. We dont have a textbook and the teacher discusses things with us. Her teacher teaches so boring, they dont discuss he just lectures and they are four chapters behind us.
So thats my update. I hope everyone is happy and healthy. You can call me to chat anytime. especially you Heather. I will see some of you soonish!

I AM A ROCKSTAR!
Dear home,
I miss you so much. I am getting more and more homesick with every passing day. Now that the first two weeks are over I feel like people are less friendly and that its harder to make friends.as if I should have made them by now and its too late if I didn't. Of course its not true and I will keep trying but it's harder now.
My roommates and I are getting ready for a rock star party. You are to dress up as your favorite rock stars. I'm Avril Lavigne. Cassidy is Kelly Clarkson. Beka is Gwen stefani. I'm not sure who Helena is but she looks good. But all the preparation has made me tired and I just want to crawl into bed now. my hair looks like a spider.
We are going shopping tomorrow and playing sardines in the snow again. monday we are going to explore rexburg a bit.
My roommates and I got back from the dance. It was crazy fun! so much better than any provo dance. Honestly. There were sooo many cute guys. I got a couple numbers and danced with tons of guys. Cassidy might have a boyfriend....! helena hurt some guys with her intense Chicago dancing, and some guy finally got beka to dance. They hit it off well and she was a major flirt after that. It was so much fun and these guys were telling us that that was the lamest they have ever been to up here. They invited us along for some good ones so we will have to see!

Sardines!
Well yesterday morning I got up at 7:00 to go snow shoeing. Its not that cool, its walking in snow with heavy things strapped to your feet so tight you lose feeling in your toes. But at least now I know.
Last night I got a group together and went to play sardines in the snow building. Its a super confusing. I rarely get lost, But I can not get this building right. We only played down stairs and when I hid it took them a half an hour to find me. Does that give you an idea of how crazy this building is? It was super fun though and I hope we will do it again. We then went to Lauren's apartment and played some games.
Cassidy and I just had a onesie party in the lounge we ate chips and salsa, danced in our onesie and watched sense and sensibility. A very productive sunday I think :)
I unfortunately spent more effort socializing rather then exerting energy on my school work. So I get to get up early tomorrow morning and pray that I can finish it before its due in my classes.
Cassidy and I are going to sell plasma on tuesday and if all works out well that will be my food money each week. I miss you all. Im going to try and visit around valentines day so I hope to see you then!

fire fire!
Here you cant broil nachos on a paper plates. its a no no. I only began to notice anything when major smoke was coming out of the top of the oven. Luckily we have a fire extinguisher nice and near, I can only imagine for such occasions. And thank goodness for cert because I remembered PASS. pull, aim, squeeze, and sweep. I was a little over zealous with the sweeping. In seconds our kitchen was covered in a very fine and smelly powder. Including all of the newly washed dishes and food that was just sitting out. We then had to open ALL the windows and attempt to fan it out using the door and some notebooks. That took some time and the cleaning took even longer, I took some pictures to document this momentous occasion.
Later my roomies and I went to I-night. and Cassidy and I did some sumo wrestling. Cassidy hit her head pretty hard. Then jeremy and I did the bungee run (you wrap a bungee cord around your midle and run as fast and far as you can to beat your opponent) In theory it sounds fun. Doing it however was not. I got pulled back so hard I hit my head three times and got some burns from the cord. It was really painful.
Not as painful as the obstacle course however. Cassidy and I raced through a giant inflatable thing. The army men were not helping they were pushing and shaking it was much as they could. But the best part by far was climbing the wall with a rope and no foot holds. We couldnt wear shoes so I could not get any purchase so it took three guys to help me up the stinkin wall. And Cassidy had her issues too. She got stuck on the wall and her pants were falling down and there was nothing she could do about it. so she kinda mooned some of the kids from school.
Its only the first week of school and we have made quite the fools of ourselves. This semester should be pretty entertaining

hello friends!
I've started a blog of my college experiences. That way you can read as much of you want of me and I will be more adventurous in my daily going-abouts so that I have something interesting to blog about!
For those of you not caught up yet. here is a quick recap. Mom and I got here friday. I brought alot of stuff which is totally ok because none of my roommates brought that much. I was the first to move in saturday morning so I totally got the best room and bed. Beka came next and she is in the other room. Cassidy then came and she is my roomie. She is so awesome. I have found a kindred spirit in her. Last came Helena (pronounced huh-lane-uh) she is very interesting. She is a very short, black girl from Chicago.
I attended church on sunday and so far so good. lots of cute guys and good teachers.
On monday all the freshman had long meetings helping us get to know campus, getting to know the spirit of ricks, serving BYUI, participating at BYUI and lots more. lots and lots more.
Tuesday I had one class which was Vocal instruction. My teacher is this cute but crazy old lady. Its going to be interesting especially since she keeps forgetting to tell us what to do and how to do it. I met two new friends in there, Whitney and Jeremy. Jeremy Wan is totally my new buddy. He is Chinese, from Hong Kong to be exact. Whitney is super shy, we went to devotional on tuesday. It was very good.
Wednesday I had four classes womens glee, a computer class, american foundations, and book of mormon. I had a harder time that day. I felt very small and stupid. I didnt really make any friends till book of mormon. In glee my teacher is crazy too. I really want to drop my computer class but I am stuck with it. Am found was a huge class with rather unfriendly guys, but I like the teacher. Book of mormon has alot of cute guys and that is one of my favorite classes. the teacher is kind of strange but in a good way. People are alot more accepting in that class. Later that night my roomies and I went and hung out with some guys. It was pretty boring actually. then the four of us had a sleepover in the living room.
Thursday I had vocal instruction again and I might have a crush on the new guy in class. he is super funny and way cute. jeremy and I went to the library to look for music and then came back to my dorm to listen and pick what we wanted. I think I am going to sing You are your daddy's son and something high but idk what yet. later that night jeremy came over and played some cards with us then guided us to the boys dorm because every thursday they play a movie and invite the girls over. It was fun enough but I will wait awhile before I go back.
So that is my week so far today I have three classes and tonight is I-night which is a campus wide extravaganza to welcome everyone back. I hear it is fun.
